If they were the best soccer team in the world, they would of been invited to Real Madrid's centenary tournament. Which is only open to those clubs who are in the top 4 successful in europe. Man Utd have only ruled europe twice (1968 & 1999) compared to Real Madrid's 9 times (1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1966, 1998, 2000 & 2002), AC Milan's 5 (1963, 1969, 1989, 1990 & 1994), Liverpool's 4 (1977, 1978, 1981 & 1984), Bayern Munchen's 4 (1974, 1975, 1976 & 2001) and Ajax's 4 (1971, 1972, 1973 & 1995).
Manchester United are the SECOND most succesful club in England and Britain after Liverpool.
Liverpool FC: 18 League Championships + 6 FA cups + 6 League Cups + 4 European Cups + 3 Uefa cups = 37 trophies.
Manchester United: 14 League Championships + 10 FA cups + 1 League Cup + 2 European Cups + 1 Cup Winner's Cup = 28 Trophies.
