Chicane - Offshore (Owen and Dan's Maghera Take)

EDIT: (Sep 24th)

So i'm gonna turn this thread around, as I've completely reworked my original remix and now it's a lot more "deep" sounding.

Anyway, I really hope you enjoy my take on it. Thanks to all who listen!

The atmosphere sounds u used are really nice. However, the track is way to slow for a 4/4 beat, you should really try to make it a more breakbeat version or really fasten up the track.

Thanks theran! It's at 110bpm right now, but I just uploaded a 125bpm version (Check the OP) I can't really adjust with it right now, as my original was at quite a slow tempo. Obviously I'd have to tweak a few things to make it fit the faster tempo, but the sample is just a general idea of how it would sound. Cheers again!

I definitely prefer the slower tempo version - it's got a totally chilled out summer vibe. I'm not sure if you took Theran's advice already and updated the drums on the 110 bpm version, but the drums work pretty nicely IMO. It leaves a lot of space for the atmosphere. BTW - I really dig that guitar-ish sound - totally mellows the track out. Nice work!

Thank you so much, Cryo! I appreciate all your compliments. I just wish I could improve it on the technical side of things. That's a real guitar you hear, although I'm very bad at playing it Cheers again!

This is lush owsey, love the high decay echo on the guitar, really adds a nice warmth to the sound along with those smooth muted pads. Percussion stood out to me too as really well put together, are those guiro's and castanettes? Sound great! the squelchy saw bass is lovely too. I'm hearing the newly updated 125bpm version and i can't imagine it any slower, sounds ideal to me. Basically i like everything about it haha, great work! this is my first post on here for a few months and its definitely streets ahead of what I remember hearing from you last

Thank you very much, Nova. Really glad you liked it! The Percussion is my favourite part of this track, and most of my others to be honest. I love playing around with it.

Yeah, I used to post some really awful stuff up on this board, but it's really cool to hear that i've improved! Thanks again

After heaing this track i think i understand now what you want to hear from my mix. I like those SFX they sound g00d and subtle. this has a nice warm vibe real relaxing. u should send to Chicane and see if he likes cuz this is g00d.
