After a brief summer hiatus, Harmonic is proud to usher the HEAR series back in with their favorite performance to date - JUNCTION SM (Dandy Jack [live] + Sonja Mooner [dj]). On October 24, expect to be blown away at their Los Angeles debut with a 4+ hour set. The duo produces a unique sound; gushingly playful, funky house and techno infused with Latin-inspired percussion. Experience this union of Dandy Jack’s rhythmic constructions with Sonja Moonear’s excellent record selection in the most comfortable and accommodating underground atmosphere in the city.

During a Junction SM performance, Dandy Jack's live set is routed through 1 channel of Sonja's DJ mixer, leaving her 2 free channels to mix on, and giving her control over the whole given sound. She can then use his sounds as an additional source to her records, add additional filters, cuts or edit it with several effects. Throughout the night, Sonja pitches her records to Dandy's live set.

Sometimes Sonja mixes entire records over his sets, or sometimes she only adds a high-hat, a bass-drum or a simple melody. Through the night look for Dandy Jack improvisation solos or additional rhythm patterns on top of Sonja's mixes. The entire magical experience is directly connected to the crowd with rises and slopes modulated according to the audience's participation.
