It's all a matter of preference. I also prefer the mk2. Mostly because here the m3d is more expensive and I don't think it's worth the price difference (a well calibrated mk2 works as good as a m3d).
So if you prefer to have a clickless pitch slider, a quartz reset button, a hingeless cover, a recessed power switch (if you're clumsy) and a spare stylus holder, go for it. Especially if it's the same price.
