DJ Hero: Activision: Thoughts?

From the makers of Guitar Hero....now comes, DJ Hero.

http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/patterson/35988

I was just wondering if anybody had some insight into exactly what types of music they are going to being putting on this game. I hope people can put their own stuff on it somehow. I feel like it could end up being either an epic win or fail depending on that.

there was an earlier game of this sort beatmania i think....i dont see how this game can maintain elements of harmonic mixing and persistant track collection....the most important really.I see it doing alot of scratch related stuff cause we all know thats the first kids try to do when they are near a functioning setup.

they should have some sensors built in to see who has the best jesus pose, fistpump, airpiano, and who can pop an E or bend down and rail a line without triggering the sensor.

i knew this shit was on the way. the sad thing(for djs) is that if they design it properly(beatmatching, phrasematching, pitchbeinding, basic equing), that all these kids will be qualified at the basics of djing with the game, which is definitely not the case for guitar and guitar hero.

its gonna be hip hop music stuff, so the dj'ing "techniques" would probably emulate that..

but i did read somewhere that tiesto was making some downloadable tracks or what-the-fuck for it..

lol at the comment at the bottom, 'banjo hero'. You know that would culminate with dueling banjo's with the creepy kid from deliverance.

yeah, it will further defecate on the already negatively bashed occupation that is DJing. now along with "you're playing other people's music" or "the computer is doing everything for you" (for laptop DJs) we'll be able to add "anyone can do it, just play DJ Hero" to the list of insults.
