A Great Analog Mixer

I've been fooling around trying to discorcer "THE" analog mixer for my taste. I am pretty much a vinyl purist and refuse to use any DVS or CDJs. I love the sound and the feel for the vinyl, but i need a mixer to help to acheive a greater sound experience. I've made the thread "A Great Analog Mixer" because i would liket divide it into 2: 4 Channel and 2 channel.

I currently own a Rane 56 and it's great. Sounds very uber and has great EQ, but sadly the mid isn't full kill and it's a bit too crisp for my taste.

So far the rane is just awesome, but perhaps it's time for a change. I'm honestly looking for versatility, great sound, good EQing and a comfortable feel. Effects are not something that i appreciate as much, i can always just get a damned EFX box.

So far up on my list is: Ecler Nuo 4, Xone 92(but linear ), Rane Empath (I know it's a 3 channel :P).

For a 2 channel:Ecler Nuo 2, Xone 22, Rane 56

So far, for some reason, these are the only ones that pop up in my head. I may be a bit too picky, but i just want what will fit my needs. I don't really desire for this thread to become what's the best and this and that, i would only like a second opinion from my fellow music lovers.

By the way, i mix mostly house: Fidget house, electro house, Nu Rave, funky house, tech house, techno and from time to time i do love to put on some great trance.

Thanks

Nuos are analog while the EVOs are digital.

Have you thought about the Carl Cox PMC-CX by Vestax?

Looks uber interesting, but sadly it's not in production anymore. I would try and find one, but highly unlikely. (I don't use Ebay, I'm from canada and the shipping+tax is just too much)

Formula sound are good mixers but I don't like the feel.

Look for vintage vestax - they were without question the best mixers made. I just picked up a brand new (boxed) replacement for my beloved vestax in case it ever breaks....and I got it for pennies

.....and that model was disontinued over 8 years ago.

You can get great deals on the cox or 500, boxed and new on ebay , just shop around. I just heard cox playing with his on a funktion1 system and I have to say it was one of the best sounding setups I've ever witnessed (being a professional engineer).

PCV 275!!! i know it's not a high end mixer, but I have one and it's sweet. Sound isn't bad for an analog mixer, the layout could NOT be any simpler and user-friendly, and the thing is a tank.

Agreed, I had one of these when I first started out. Built like a tank for sure.

Yeah this Vestax is a killer also. The first ones made in Japan are the ones to look for.
