More problems with Ableton

So in Ableton, I make a new channel by dragging the instrument I wish to use onto the arrangement view and then I put in the midi file for whatever it is that I want that instrument to play. The problem is, every time I pick a preset and click play, the instrument reverts back to whatever sound loads when you first start it. This can be aggravating for obvious reasons, only one synth that I have tried doesn't do this, all the others (3 of them) do.

What can I do to fix this?

Sounds like the midi file has some bank settings stored.
Just set Bank,Sub-Bank and Program to None. The setting is below the bpm setting for the midi file.

hah, thanks a lot! As soon as I read that I looked at the midi settings and they all had program set to 1.

The answer to this should really pop up everytime you start Ableton. It comes up so damn often.
