Is there any real benefit to taking 1000% or more your daily recommended dosage in a given vitamin? A single 500mg vitamin C tablet for example is 833% the daily value. Is that really that much more beneficial to the immune system?
Also, does anyone here take any? And aren't they available by script only in a few countries?

You could overdose on certain vitamins and actually do yourself damage.
"vitamin overdoses" generally aren't life threatening. you're just gonna get some diarrhea and some other minor symptoms that will make you miserable but won't kill you. the only time it's life threatening is if you have certain diseases, like liver disease.
on that note, i've been taking a B12 pill every day and i definitely can feel a difference in my energy level and mood. it's like ritalin but without the jittery crackiness. the shitty part is that i have a sensitive stomach and i've been having some bad episodes of indigestion the last couple of days. so i'm thinking it's too much of a coincidence and that it's related to the B12 every day. i wish i could administer a shot of that shit in my ass myself.
