Lost in Style: trance rework of a previousl track - looking for comments =)

Greetings,

This is our first nearly finished track and we'd love to hear anyone's thoughts especially w/r/t to the lead and the vocals.

Lunagram - I Found You (Vocal Trance Edit) by bbounce

Much appreciated!

Great bassline, really driving. The melody is great, but I think the bass may be a little off. The vocals are awesome, fit the track. Overall the track is really interesting and doesn't drag on, good song, keep it up.

There's definately something missing in the bottom end. I'd run the kick through something like Vintage Warmer or take of the HPF if there's one on there. The bassline is begging to be layered as well with something a bit deeper. It's an unusual choice of bassline for the melodies but it's never off and always resolves itself.

Most importantly my head was nodding so the core of the track works.

Some really good sounds and ideas in there too. The unusual guitar/synth sound in the break is excellent although i'd look at changing the reverb on the vocal, it's a bit 'close'. The arp synth that comes in during the break needs to be panned and widened a bit as it's fighting with the rest of the track I think.

Great stuff though and a little tweaking could really make it kick off.

bbounce WOW! goodone u realy had me feeling this one mate, loved the middle with the guitar/synth? what did u use for this its MAGIC...Loved the vocals and vocal FX also but would look into the reverb on them, bring them forward in the mix and let the leads move around them...I agree with tehlord about the bottom end.....
just an ider try and run off a few different makes and versions of this cause everythings there.

Thanks for the comments. When we mixed the track, we made it a point to roll-off the low end to avoid that boominess that tends to make the mix muddy...guess we took off a bit too much.

I'll adjust the EQ settings and upload a new mixdown for comparison...thanks again!

Very interesting track you created bbounce. Your pad and arps are doing really great job driving this progressive rhythm. Love your FXs and the way you transition them in and out, very nice. The melody construction and this vocal is well define throughout this track.

If I can give you any suggestion, it would be about your bass, change the pattern little bit, doesn’t go well with your drums.

Good job man, make the music rule the world.

Really sweet track! I like.
There is something that doesn't quite jump out at me. The bass line or something seems to chorusy or the stereo separation doesn't sound clear enough. It is just my opinion and I can't quite put my finger on it. I am just trying to be a little critical. haha

Keep at it, i would like to hear more in the future!

It's an ok generic slightly dated sound. Like the vocals though. Rolling bass is ok, but needs more refinment. Needs a low bass to come in and underpin the rolling bass.

Open hat is a little presety old sounding.

Not too bad a mix overall.
Good that your getting the basic pinned down, but a way to go for it to be something stand out.
