I have a QSC Amp with 2 adjustable knobs to increase the power to each channel. When using it, should I just turn them both all the way to the right (max power)? Or should I have them set in the middle or what?

Whatever you do don’t have them all the way on max power!!! Otherwise you stand a huge risk of clipping and messing up your amp. Not a good thing. Have them positioned at a setting so that when you’ve got your track bouncing on the Yellow LED on your mixer (usually around –1 to +1 dB) as you normally would the volume is adequate for your taste. If not, give it a bit more or less on the amp as needed. Whatever you do don’t have it set at full, when the amp clips you run the risk of ruining both the Amp and the speakers!

Also always remember, Amp on last and off first.

how do you know whether to adjust the master volume or the amp power knob?

Also thanks for the help man. Bastard that sold me the amp said to set them at full power cause thats what they are meant for.

The one you want to adjust the volume on is the amp its self. If you try and start using the mixer to put more out to make it louder the signal will bounce into the Red LED’s and you start clipping the mixer which will bugger up you mixer, amp and speakers if your not careful!
