This thread has probably been done before, but not recently as far as I know.
I wanted to be a scientist when I was really little, maybe because my dad and his friends were geologists. Then later on I wanted to write fiction.

I wanted to be whatever I was good at. So I figured I would either be an artist, or a mathematician. Lol. I don't think I ever thought much about it...I was more of a dreamer and had all these grandiose fantasies just about growing up and being really important or revered somehow.
The strange thing is that I was in a lot of enriched classes/programs, but I can't say that was ever what REALLY interested me. I mostly worried about falling in love, getting married, and being a mother and wife.

A paleontologist, then a civil engineer (I hate maths, too). After age 12 I didn't know, and I think I've only just figured it out in the past six months.
At first I wanted to be a paleontologist, then an astronomer until I was about 9, then I wanted to be a genetic engineer and work on the Human Genome Project. They completed the project when I was about 13ish, so I decided nuclear physicist would be a better option when I learned about the Tevatron.
Now, I have no fucking clue. Ideally something with travel.
