Sigh ... about to leave to the awesome trance scene of DC for Philly. Are there any good clubs or organizers that bring in decent DJ's? Oh well hehe if worse comes to worse and Philly sucks at least both DC and NY are in easy driving distance.

There's this party coming up there 7/26. I got the flyer July 3rd at a party in NY. It's at Chrome Night Life Arena, the picutres of the place look great! And Cosmic Gate is headlining the party!
Chrome is aminly a gino club, but last years Paradise party was cool. I tkinda different since you mainly have more fun during the day and at night you want to go home.
Cosmic Gate should be phat. I only think that the clubheadz will come out to hear Firewire since that is the only Electronic song their little minds can remember. I can just see it now, here's an idea of the Philly gino idea of music:
Guy one: "Dude, you wanna go to Chrome tonight?!"
Guy two: "Hell Yeah!. Those girls are hot and they have good techno music. I heard that new remix of Bryan Adams there last week!"
Guy one: "Dude, They have Cosmic Gate tonight!"
Guy two: "huh?"
Guy one: "You know, Firewire...(starts to sing song)...from last year?"
Guy two: "oh! That techno song. Hell yeah! I just hope they play the new song by Paul Oakenfold too!"
That's about it. Not alot of people in Philly feel Trance too much. It's a big DnB city and some breaks too. Any trance you hear is at clubs and it's alot of club shite. It's cool tho, because some DJs do know about it, but most clubs don't want it. oh well.
This party looks pretty cool.

you know i hear conversations like that in jersey all the time. it makes me think that i am somehow unique from the majority of the population for having a real appreciation for trance and other types of music. anyone else here feel that?

Motion (N. Front St.) is pretty good. I've been there twice, the first time on it's opening night and the second a few weeks later. I don't know how it's crowd is now, but back then it seemed like it attracted a lot of candy ravers (they were in massage chains, etc.) The music was good and the laser show was outstanding, but I'm not too fond of drugged up candy ravers because they give the scene a bad name.
I've also heard of Envy, Shampoo, Evolution and Electric Factory (Oakey's there soon I believe).

Yea I'm starting to get a little too old for the rave scene now but if the music is good then I guess I'll just have to deal heh. Are there any decent production companies that consistentely have good events like glow or buzz in dc? By the way, Ferry Corsten at glow this weekend is gonna be money.

Yeah, what Quickstep said.
But there is some good music to be found in the Philly area, most of it is just local talent.
