i used to hate scary movies.....a girl i was with turned me onto them and now i'm a fan without a doubt. a girl i was seeing recently was so deathly afraid of scary movies she refused to watch american psycho with me even. that was a shame considering i've used that movie to drunkenly seduce myriad females this past semester...

I have a general theory about horror movies, that I'm welcome to have shot down. It basically runs that the more physically vulnerable a person feels, the more frightened they are by horror movies. Children find horror films the scariest, followed by women. Grown men are probably the least affected, and the harder and tougher the guy, the less likely he is to be scared.
Not exactly intellectual, but I think it mostly holds up.
