The story is kinda crap, but otherwise it's what I expected in some ways, but exceeded expectations in others. Haven't got FA yet, but can't wait to get owned online, despite the fact the auto patch system DOESNT FUCKING WORK and causes me to have to reinstall it just to get it to run again One thing I was suprised though was I thought there were a lot more units. There don't seem to be THAT many more build orders than starcraft, although it does play quite differently, while still maintaining the deep strategy that I really liked about starcraft.

p.s. goddamnit, I've just reinstalled the game like 4 times. Anyone want to help

dont waste time with supcom. FA is the only way to play. cant comment on the story, i never played the campaign.

re patching, it can be a pain sometimes. try downloading them from here

i cant speak for vanilla because i havent played it in 2 years, but i can normally find a ranked FA game within a few minutes (prob less for custom).

if you can play when australia is asleep or at work you shouldnt have a problem finding europeans or yanks to play with. last time i checked during the day i think there were about 800 people online. not many obviously (and probably fewer now), but enough for you to get a game happening.

dont play no-rush or 2x res or the same map over and over. there are always plenty of shitty game types up and running.
