I just listened to Chi A.D. - Eye Am the I, and was completely taken by it. I've heard a few goa/psytrance tracks before, but they didn't immerse me like this did. It was downright breathtaking.
It reminds me of Oakenfold's production A Journey into Trance, but with much more punch.
I have just been given a taste of something incredible and new. Please help me to foster this new interest by providing your best selections of Goa and Psytrance below. I need guidance and advice.
I'm listening to it again. Forget bubbly dreamy synths. I want more of this.

Mmm... try these, you might like some... Eye Am the I is great BTW. Only drawback on the album is that it doesn't have Liquid Neon Sky. I dont know which album that track is on.
Asura - System Babel
Chi A.D. - Liquid Neon Sky & their album - Infinitism (which has Eye am the I on it)... other albums by them I found more boring...
Ra - Astral Flight
Ra - Universal Key Ra's album is called To Sirius
SFX - Butterfly Trip (Astral Projection's former name)
A Man With No Name - Floor Essense
Cydonia - Animals
Human Blue - Carpe Diem (might be too dreamy, kinda like Massimo Sanctucci's stuff)
Yahel - For The People
Astral Projection - People can fly

These groups are on MP3.com, so they are easier to get at. But make sure to have a listen to Liquid Neon Sky & System Babel especially.

hallucinogen - lsd ....
freaking old track , and a mad mad reference in the psy trance circle .... I used to go to goa trance parties all the time years ago but never would listen to other stuff outside of parties then like mixed tapes so I don't have any memories of names of producers or specific tracks .... ain't that so lame

can't give you many details apart that in my point of view it's :
160 something like that BPMs ... or at least real fast
freaking fast melodies with big counter ( don't know if that's the correct word ) beats all around the beat ...
union jack is also somewhat psy/goa trance

Holy crap, I can't believe I got that wrong. You are indeed correct.
It seems to me that as soon as anyone mentions Goa or Psytrance the trance group shouts out "Astral Projection!" and "Infected Mushroom!" This has happened to me on previous occasions when I was seeking Goa track recommendations.
When I was first getting into electronica I tried both of these 'famous' artists, but neither of their productions have the energy or entrancing melody of the track I listened to at the start of this thread. I have not one tune by either on my computer because I don't like any (so far, that is).
Alot of Goa/Psytrance seems to be crappy tweets and wibble-wobbles with some cheesy vocal sampling about drugs laid over it. This isn't what I'm looking for. But Chi A.D. ... ::drools::

I'm quite a big fan. There is a difference between goa and psy-trance.
Goa is really more *sound based*. Twisted distorted harassing noises. The genius of groups such as infected mushroom and holymen comes from the fact they succeed to put sounds and noises that gives out an incredible result and that would otherwise sounds like real real crap.
Psy-Trance says it. Trance, more melodic, psy, psychadelic depth in the song. Most of time, the beat isn't as loud and clear then you would notice in progressive/epic/hard trance. The biggest difference stays in the fact psy-trance gives you the feeling of an ambiance. It has a depth that creates a musical background. Often sounds like outerspace sounds and melody.
Hope it makes some sense (and btw, psy-trance and goa can be very low on bpm...)
