Ok, so i listened to this on the way to work today. I really like the beginning part as expected. Towards the end it started to become circuit house, which is not my thing, but i was surprised to like the Hossa track and will add it to my crate.
Positives:
A nice mix of styles, and even though all of it is not to my taste, this is a good gateway mix between more commercial overtones and some darker stuff that would work in an afters quite well. Perfect mix to get some people who like the more commercial sounding stuff exposed to things they might not hear all the time and get them to dig deeper.
Constructive criticism:
Starting the mix on a kick drum (pet peeve), nothing major i just find it nice to have an empty lead/intro. The first transition was a little sudden and both tracks did not compliment themselves very much, but when you started getting into the big room stuff the flow was spot on. A few other transitions seemed sudden, but i am picky when it comes to this kind of thing (lolsnob) and in a club no one would notice. It does give this mix a very live feel.
Good stuff. What are you using?
