Wouldn't it be simpler just to use a frequency to note chart?

I wasn't really commenting on whether or not it's a good method. I was just posting it in case someone was interested since the question comes up on here frequently enough.

I actually think that Tuner plug-in is much better, you don't have to manually analyze the frequency now and then look it up.

I like this, I didn't even know we had that in Logic.
