Novation automap functionality

Ok, something different.

is there any particular reason why the response time to moving a slider in the sl mk2 is so delayed in the virtual automap screen. It takes ages i have to move the slider or knob on the keyboard for a good couple of seconds before it actually responds and shows any sign of movement on the virtual screen.

I installed the latest version of automap 3.4 of novations site as well.

is it always going to be this delayed?

See i had probelms when i updated my automap so i rolled back to 2.0 and it works ok. Is it in a USB 2.0 port and not a hub??

If its in a hub that sometimes makes it slow.

Processing a highly structured and complex pattern of sensory input as a unified percept of "music" is probably one of the most elaborate features of the human brain.....understanding how music is perceived and how it may elicit intense sensations is far from being understood.

yeah its direct into the back of my imac. It was even sluggish with the original version of the install disc.

I'm not liking it already and I havent even used the novation.

Have you done software update recently on the mac?

And does this mean you got it to be fully recognised then?

10.5.8 is my OS at the moment so it's not the latest. I will update that as well. Although when i downloaded the latest automap version it did come up with all the sliders and top left row of pots already recognized which is a hell of a lot better then with the older automap version.

Some one mentioned template 39 for the novation i think, im not sure whether its on that or not. But, coz im new to this its rather challenging at the moment getn it all sorted. I think i will call someone from tech support in a audio shop monday get some advise save hounding you guys.

The last set up I had was very basic, but thanks all that give assistance.

i have a nocturn, but my feedback is pretty much instant from the automap GUI. I dont really use it all that much, I try to map parameters logically so I can get by without the GUI.

Sorry I cant help you out though. You could try novation email support. I had some issues and they responded pretty fast.
