I've put up a video of a remix I did for Perfecto last July. The original is by Trenix and it's called 'Cherry Blossom'. I did 2 remixes, a breaks one (Neural Rewire Mix) and this one, the 'Mercury Rising Remix' which is progressive trance.
Reason was used for all the drum programming and some of the synths. I programmed a sort of buzzing electricity sounding bassline in Omnisphere, which also provides the lead and some of the pads. Sylenth provides the rest.
Paul Oakenfold played it weekly on his 'Perfecto On Tour' radio show from July 2009 until January 2010. During some of that time he was opening for Madonna on her world tour to stadiums of 90 000 plus people. I've been trying to find footage on Youtube to see if he played this track, that would be so cool (I can dream, he played mostly commercial stuff I think)!
