What do you mean she "didn't care"? They HAVE TO care because this is a classic case of a state misdeamenaor in which you can, in turn, hire an attorney and the last thing they want is for TxDOT to get sued because some lady "didn't care". That would be my advise to you if you want to escape from the charges; hire an attorney. Do you have a valid reason as to why you never saw these monthly charges in your mailbox? If so, and you think a judge will buy it, I will personally help you try to fuck up the TxDOT, because if there's anyone in the world I hate the most, it is TxDOT.
I was fined $76 last year because I ran through the EZ Tag twice without my tag. I wished all their mothers a fiery ride to hell shortly after.
