I went.
I had a good time, it was a fun night. Frankie got on around 1 and played til close ~3:30. In the beginning of his set he played some great uplifting and energizing tracks, we got to hear some great melodies and vocals, and every one in the room was smiling, dancing, jackin'... it was great. But as the night went on...despite the good track selection, I felt like the consistency that one would come to expect from Frankie was somewhat lacking. Maybe I just didn't understand the flow of his set, maybe the crowd wasn't giving him the vibe he needed. I don't know...
The crowd was also kind of weird. A mix of young and old, but predominantly younger. I thought that was kind of odd, usually Pat Boogie parties bring out a more mature demographic, and being Frankie Knuckles, I especially expected a more mature crowd. Maybe I was just in the wrong spot(s) on the dancefloor Despite that, as usual, everyone was super friendly at Cobra. I met some great people who are hopefully coming out to Footwork for their first time next week.
Still had a great time though and would totally go see him again on Canada Day if he comes back.
I took this video. I thought it was an awesome track, and would love to get an ID on it if anyone knows what it is.

Then, I blew out the candle.

Hahaha thank you!!! You would think that googling the hell out of the lyrics I captured in the video and from what I remember would've figured that out on my own, but apparently not. Cheers bud!
