Their simple warning to those pirating the cracked version? "Don't install/use Ubisoft launcher, or simply block any connection to internet." Yep. Pretty much the opposite for those who own a legitimate copy of the game.

Youre damn right its incomplete, it has no shitty copy protection in it. Seriously, just goes to show that abusive copy protection just hurts actual customers while pirates go about unaffected.

Ok after a bit of reading....Ubishit keeps some of the game files on a server so u need to either be logged into the servers so the game will retrieve the needed files to progress, or a new crack is needed that includes the required game files. I'm sure the missing game files will be uploaded to the "scene" soon enough.

Their insane DRM is the reason I'm never buying a ubisoft product again.

Excellent. Most new games are cracked within a week of their release anyways, I just don't see how companies can justify dropping $20k+ on anti-piracy software for their releases/licensing, etc. when it's bypassed so incredibly quickly.

Steam is probably going to be the victor here, once the smoke clears.

I was reading about Silent Hunter 5, the actual game, and apparently, it doesn't ship with anything except:
1) a box
2) a manual
3) a plastic disc
4) 600,000 lines of code that are not compatible with any hardware.
4a) and if it's even remotely compatible, you can only run it in 640*480


also, the new splinter cell looks too good.

my sister works for ubisoft, trust me when i say that they will not go bankrupt.

I think they spoke too fast. People are saying you can't do any actual missions, just go on patrol. Since all the logic needed to play the game properly resides on Ubisoft servers, I'm not sure how this game will ever be fully cracked and fully playable.
