{REVIEW] Noze @ Hiro Ballroom
photos and review courtesy of gradient magazine

Eccentric electro-pop act Nôze ventured from their hometown, Paris, to New York City last night to play a show at Hiro Ballroom. The dynamic duo were full of energy, playing off the lively spirit of their dance-crazed audience. Their set was packed with whimsical synth loops played live on their mighty Moog Voyager, accompanied by intermittent jazzy piano samples and rock-style guitar riffs. Between sips of champagne, the two animated Parisians gave a live vocal performance of tracks including “You Have to Dance” and “Love Affair.” The set was strung together by funky, chunky basslines over classic house kicks, utilizing Abelton to keep a consistent beat between tracks. Opening and closing sets were played by Crazy Larry, who treats the audience to some good ol’ tech-house, and never fails to throw a great party.
