Smile Another 'Recommend me an in-ear canal phone' thread.

This time , it's not for my friend , it's for me alone.
I'm looking for a in-ear canal phone , I'm kinda tired of bringing the HD 212 around , and the Creative EP-830's treble simply irritated my ears.

First of all , my budget would be 140 USD , nothing higher than that , haha.

I'm looking for one that has decent bass , good clarity .In fact I would prefer one with really good emphasize on the mid and treble part , I'm really sick of muddy and painful treble. Of course , the bass must have a presence too , and not overpowering the entire spectrum.

Any brands is welcomed , so does anyone have any suggestions in mind?

The most expensive one you can afford... If its just for travelling then theres a sennheiser thats ok, but it'll die after a while and its not that cheap.

I'm thinking of the Shure E2C , is it good? As in , is the clarity clear and the bass present?

I think thats the one I have yeah. They came to around 150 USD if thats the same one. They're quite neutral yes, the treble is quite sharp but not unpleasantly, you might find you can hear stuff you couldn't before. The bass is present, but not huge, you're not going to get a lot of bass extension out of these. It tapers off in quite a linear way though, not like the sennheisers whihc are overhyped around 200 hz.

The shures don't have an enourmous volume level either, but its adequate for an ipod.

So let me see , the E2C is great in clarity , and has decent bass? That's cool , but $10 beyond my budget. Ahh it's just $10.. Haha.

But what if i'm looking for one that shows great emphasize on the bass , but still gives decent clarity?

^^^ you said it yourself.

I only have experience with the sennheiser and shure, neither I would say give amazingly extended bass.

Goldring:

Seriously good shit. Try em.

I bought my gf some pink ones, and honest to god they hit so hard. They come with foam isolator tips too as well as three rubberised ones for different size ears.

Goldring are a very good company with German origins, they don't fuck about and for £20 no brand can beat this.

Does anyone know anything about the CX 550 style ii? How's the quality of it?

And Lunar Phase 7 , yeah I might want to take note of that Goldring. Sounds promising to me.
