So i was sleeping today and someone rang my door, looked outside and thought it was my neighbors and opened it up.

They started asking me if I had ever thought about what rewards god had for me based on my works in a physical sense... still half asleep and thinking it was my neighbors (keep in mind we have had noise complaints for our parties and the lawn needed to be mowed) I said no, I have never thought about it in a physical manner.

So they left me with two booklets, I read the top and it and it said Jehovas witness.

Did I really just get woken up at 10:42 on a saturday morning by missionaries from a wacky christian sect? What is the deal with these guys, going around preaching that loving god is going to make me rich! Should I be worried? Do I need to buy a gun?

You're in Texas, you always need a gun.

In other news, there are no J-Wits where I live. I love it

Why can you personalise your phone ring but you can't customise your doorbell? I'd totally set it up to say "I'm sorry, I'm asleep at the moment and I cannot get the door. By the way, I'm an atheist - if you want to save me from eternal damnation, please just let me be, I could use some free tanning services in the afterlife. Thank you".

You have a door bell - just buy a sign that says no solicitors. Give your cell number to people you actually want to answer the door for have them ring you and disconnect the door bell. Also a sign "do not knock fragile door use doorbell" if cops show up with a warrant they will let themselves in anyway
