in may we are going to be taking my friend to Florida for a bachelor party...
we are thinking Orlando (as the groom loves theme parks)
and i hear Orlando has a few theme parks ?
so my question to the fellow community is where should we stay?
we went to do the theme parks during the day
and be close to the action at night (clubs, good dinners, maybe strip clubs)
are there any clubs that do EDM in Orlando?
any tips would be greatly appreciated!
thank you !!!

Always glad to have TA's in town.. Lots of theme parks in Orlando.. Universal is better then Disney for rides, but Epcot is fun for drinking.. Seaworld is nothing special..
Orlando is super sprawled out so its gonna be a drive either way.. You will find most hotels near the attractions, but most of the edm clubs are downtown.. which is 10 miles or so..
Some clubs to check out in Downtown Orlando although not always playing electronic so you may want to skip around..
In order..
Suite B
Crooked Bayou
Peacock Room
Bliss
Sky60
Vixen and Vintage
Independent Bar
Senso Supperclub
Independent Bar
BBQ Bar
April and June some pretty big events.. Not so much in May or not yet atleast..
Let me know if you make it down.. Ill let you know if anything is happening...

Where would be an ideal place to stay in Orlando for 4 nights and 5 days.
Looking to visit a couple theme parks, maybe visit a near by beach.. and be close enough to party at night. (downtown orlando sufficient enough to get a good party fix in EDM wise?)

Most likely you will want to stay near the convention center or the theme parks.. You still going to be about 10 miles away from downtown and an hour or so from Cocoa Beach, which is the closest. You could also choose to head to Tampa which is a little over an hour in the other direction.
Orlando is 2nd in the US for number of hotel rooms, so feel free to search around on the internet and find a good deal. Lots of good rates available near the attractions. I would stay away from hotels on Disney property unless that is where you are going to spend most of your time.
Downtown Orlando is really the only spot for EDM. Check out some of the places I listed above. Hope this helps.
Most of the research I have done seems to center around us finding a hotel around the convention center.
Do you have any suggestions on an apartment style place. (we are traveling with 10-12 people and would need something with a kitchen) We could even do 2 apartment/condo style rooms adjoining each other.
If we were to book around this area you are suggesting (convention center) What would you say travel times to the downtown core are if we are visiting most of the edm clubs/loungs, titty bars, & other rowdy locations.
I would assume taxis would be sufficient, how is transit?
I would assume shuttles are generally available to the theme parks? Or would we need to rent a car and/or take taxis?
Thanks in advance.

There are lots of timeshares which you can rent here in Orlando which are more apartment style. Marriott Vacation Club offers a few destinations like Marriott Grande Vista or Cypress Harbour which might work for what you want.
You may as well rent a car while your here. You can bid on cars on Priceline and get a standard for roughly $20 a night or less. 10 - 12 people poses a logistical task to get everyone from point-to-point. Taxis are available but they are usually high priced. Travel time from convention center to dtown is about 15 mins or less on I-4.
Just hoping i can pick your brain here on an idea I have been throwing around..
Ive looked up a lot of these villas online.. location would preferably be central.. something no further then universal studios south.. and as close as possible to the city center.
In Toronto we go up north and rent chalets, (10-12) style villas with kitchens, bbqs, games rooms etc.
It seems alot of these in the orlando area geared around families.. do you know of anything tollerable to an all male crowd? haha..

Ya.. The mostly are called timeshares//villas//condo rentals.. Westgate Resorts has a few properties.. Check out Homeaway.com and VRBO.com for some more ideas..
Not to much downtown in Orlando.. Everything is near Disney which is 20+ miles away...
