When you want to stay informed on what's happening in the world of EDM: DJs, festivals, locations, new releases, fucked up shit, cool shit, personal shit, whatever etc. where do you turn? Who are the paparazzi of edm?

do you use ivibes, mixmag, DJmag, RA, TA, or a source so exclusive you'd go to jail to protect confidentiality?

i'm trying to gauge something here so I'd appreciate responses. thanks

I mean I find out about upcoming songs (future releases) on trancefix.nl -- they have a lot of members really devoted to concentrating that information into one section of their forums. Saves me a lot of trouble.

I go to beatport and audiojelly to actually buy the songs (iTunes occasionally as well).

I'm surprised that so many people like trance.nu (not just on here but everywhere). IMO...the site sucks...they update it once a week and they commonly have articles on the main page that are like 4 months old.

I get my news from press releases which are sent directly to my inbox and then I write about them.

I do occasionally browse other writers articles. For Trance I use TA forums, TranceSound.net and Trance.nu.

For House I use 365mag and Resident Advisor.

And I agree TranceFix is THE place for sets and radioshows.

I don't contribute much to this forum but I do pop in here regularly for news on events... I've found out about quite a few advance/unannounced & last-minute events here..

on that note, isn't it time for another 'Airwave is playing in NYC' thread? one of those goes up every year around this time although it never happens
