Simon Trace "Missing Tiger" (Progressive House Tune) -> Soundcloud

I made this already some month ago and it is still one of my favorites... I just started and didn't know where to go... There was no idea behind the melodie I was just running the track and just made it up during the playing. I know that there is not really kick - it is more like a "high" sub-drum-bass or how ever. I think even without a higher kick there is still some groove in it...

Before I actually try to send it in I would love to hear some commants about it. thanks a lot for every advice...

Can imagine this in a dark deep gothic nightclub. I love the atmosphere, although for me I would still want a more stand out obvious hook somewhere so it's no so background music.

Cheers

I think I would categorize this as deep dark industrial techno actually. Not quite sure. I feel like the wobbly bass with the huge kick is a bit overwhelming at times, but I do appreciate the effects, sweeps, and background melody of the bells. =)

Hi,

I tought so too about getting less compression on the bass - I just noted throught the listening on souncloud that the volume is slightly changing cause of that overwhelming compression. maybe shifting the pitch down of the sub might be another solution - have to see what I can do - Didn't had the problem before the rendering actually

but thank you
