Girl Talk is the worst live act I have ever seen
My school had him for a free outdoor spring concert this weekend. He does mashups of top 40 hits, often putting like 30 short samples in one song.
So I get there, and I already had low expectations since top 40 mostly sucks...and he comes out on stage, flips open his dell laptop, and presses play on his iTunes playlist.
And then he proceeds to dance around like a fucking moron onstage and picks up the mic to say "From the front to the back, put your hands up" every five minutes.
No mixer. No turntables. No mixing. No nothing.
I can't believe people make careers of this shit...playing music through their fucking laptop and not doing anything to it.
I left the show pretty much right away.
