When I bought my 1080p HDTV, the Samsungs and LG's had the best quality picture out of the others.

my advice see it in person before buying. i had something very similar or the same on loan and didn't like it. viewsonic tv/computer monitor. narrow angle of view and cable reacted slow to changing channels.

I have a LG Flatron W2361VG-PF and I love it although it's been discontinued. They also have a 24" and 27" which I'm assuming are just as good or better. You could probably get the 24" for around $250 and the 27" for just under $400. The 27" contrast ratio is 5 times better than the one you posted. I've always liked LG's stuff.
