I'm just curious, but how many TOTA's would be interested in going skydiving???? I did it back in 1999for my 18th birthday and it was simply amazing!!!
Anyways I'm just trying to get an idea as to who would be interested and seeing if I can move ahead with planning a jump.
I was thinking of late August if we were to go ahead with it.
For lessons, equipment rental, flight and jump it is 229.00 but if get a group the prices drop.
I've always found something wrong with the idea of jumping out of a perfectly good plane with nothing but a napsack and a bed sheet attached to my back.

I'd be in... but I would prefer to mount a female instructor from behind, rather than a dude. Still have to go piggyback the first time I presume?

Not at all, you can go solo....I am. There is tandem which is when your strapped to an instructor or there is static line which is where the chute open automatically for you after you exit the plane.

How many seconds free fall? 4-5?
I have done a tandem.
IMO Tandem is much better because you actually free fall without your chute open. So what if you have someone strapped to you. Trust me thats the last thing on your mind when your falling. I paid an extra 100 bucks and they took me from 10000 feet to 15000 feet.
My buddy did a solo but you have to throw your parachute right when you leave the plane. Whats the point? If your going for experience then thats what you want to do. But if you are just going as a one time sort of thing I highly recommend a tandem.
Also, tandem requires far less training than a solo.
