Unforeseen Consequences

Well, I don't know if I'm cool enough to post a mix without a tracklist, but I'm going to try it. I really just want people to go into this one without knowing what to expect (hence the title). All I will say about the tracklist (right now) is that this is by far my weirdest and most unusual mix yet, though it definitely fits well into what I love.

If you've liked my other mixes, you should like this, and if you haven't liked my older mixes (for using too overplayed tracks, for instance) you should also like this (or at least the idea is for everyone to like it). At the end of the day, however, this mix is by far more personal than any of my other mixes, especially the two "tribute" mixes or really any of my other mixes.

I've spent a lot of time on this one, and this experience has, by far, been the most I've ever wished I used abelton to mix. Mixing by hand might be fun, but when you're doing a mix that's a bit long (definitely longer than anything I've done before) it can get quite annoying if you make a little mistake or you have an equipment error. This mix went through many different drafts, meaning that I've probably put more than 24+ hours of work into it over the past two months. Still, I'm very, very happy with how it turned out.

So, all that said, I hope a few of you will listen in now. Really want to gauge people's reactions going in with no expectations. Hopefully you'll enjoy it.

I've hated every mix I've heard of yours, and I'm sure I'll hate this too.

Very interested, but I can't get to Soundcloud at work. Heavy sigh.

Lews....15 min in so far, and let me just say, you earn 48975897897 points for the third track. One of my ALL-TIME favorites. Really enjoying this mix.

the first track set up the mix nicely, which kept going until the holden track and then kinda lost it for me until the end. many of the tracks were too similar, so that the mix plodded along instead of going.

sooo... what was the first track?

Hmm. Well, I'll just take that as a compliment to my mixing abilities

No, but really, I'm a tad bit confused here. Obviously different people are going to hear different things, but I'm having a hard time seeing how it "plods" along It changes ridiculously from beginning until end, it's just a very gradual change so that it doesn't really seem like it's changing that much at any given time.

Still, thanks for checking it out man. I appreciate you willing to listen to a mix with no tracklist and I also appreciate the honest feedback. Just sorry it didn't do anything for you

Cheers

And the first song is Lonely Planet, by Pollon
