I feel ya, they still perform DJ sets but they are more rare these days. For the record, it's not "the same live act in LA each time" - Their sets change just like any artist... Keep in mind - it is all original music they are playing, sometimes they play more of their older stuff, sometimes a combo of older/newer material, and sometimes they break new tracks that were only rehearsed once at the sound check.
I hear PVD playing the same songs now that I heard him play on his Live at Energy 2003 mix, and he is DJing these songs... pressing play on a CD player. Tiesto still plays Adagio For Strings... I'm not saying it's bad, I love those DJs and their music, just saying that star artists play the songs that made them stars - it makes people happy...
One thing is for sure, Infected is hands down talented, and they make dance floors explode. I'm a House music guy - anyone here will tell you that - but I have a special respect for IM, they play on average 130 shows per year, they are raising families, working in the studio during the week at night, etc. etc...
Anyway, you are definitely entitled to your opinion, but maybe come to the Music Box show (Insomniac's event) on July 17th with a fresh pair of ears, pair of passes on me... If you are interested... Have a good weekend

I feel you. I have seen IM about 3 times , most recently Coachella, and there is no doubt that I have had a great time at each show. I respect their music and what they are trying to do for themselves. I just think it would be cool to see a DJ set from them in LA because they only play live shows here. It would be a nice change of pace that would probably expose their fans a different sound of Infected than they are used to hearing live. Thanks for putting it in perspective
