Bentley & Ben Gomori release 'Basta EP'

'Basta EP' now out on Sea To Sun Recordings...

UK-based production duo, Bentley & Ben Gomori make their stunning debut on NYC boutique label, Sea To Sun Recordings, with the ‘Basta’ EP; a progressive flavoured, house workout set to slam on to dancefloors worldwide this summer. Featuring two original tracks, ‘Basta’ and ‘Giancolo’, the EP once again, shows Sea To Sun’s ongoing commitment to support and develop exciting, new talent in electronic music.

Bentley & Ben Gomori emerged from the melting pot of the underground, where house meets trance, and have been steadily building a name for themselves as ‘ones to watch’. Individually accomplished producers and DJs (Bentley won The Gallery’s ‘London Institution’ DJ competition while Gomori won the We Love Space ‘Fresh Blood’ DJ competition), together they’ve enjoyed releases on Seamless Black, Big In Ibiza, Grin Recordings, CYFI House and Plastica, making them genre-crossing regulars in the record boxes of such luminaries as Tom Findlay (Groove Armada), Markus Schulz, Onionz, Sarah Main, Omid 16b, Solarstone, Tillmann Uhrmacher and M.I.K.E.

‘Basta’ is an epic production hitting close to 8 ½ minutes long but which keeps you entranced from the first kick. The irresistible, prog-infused house groove weaves in and out of twinkling FX, a gliding, atmospheric synth riff, euphoric breakdowns, gradual builds and big drops the dancefloor will love. With ‘anthem alert’ all over it, ‘Basta!’ provides plenty of hip-shaking, hands-in-the-air potential. Prepare to be blown away!

‘Gianicolo’, on the flip, is a cooler incarnation with a deep house groove and lashings of style. Named after one of the large hills overlooking Rome, the track adds a cosmopolitan, continental flavour to the EP. With a pulsating energy beneath the tune driving it along, the layered synths, euphoric pads, ticking beats and spaced out, woozy atmospherics ensure that this one is certain to be moving the cool and the colourful on the terraces in Ibiza over the summer.

Leader of the New York nu-breed, Hybrid Heights demonstrates his credentials once again with a remix of ‘Basta!’ to complete the EP. He deconstructs the track and rebuilds it, keeping the central vibe of the original but adding a dark groove and trademark clipped beats, to create an edgy, unforgettable combination, spilling over with attitude and energy.

Bentley and Ben Gomori deliver the ‘Basta’ EP and already we’re looking forward to the next instalment...
