what a spectacle. Was it mostly Trance,'Electro', and some Tech House?
If so, no matter who is making it or playing it, the benefit to all edm music is that these accessible electronic music genres help create future longterm listeners. It is out of this crowd of people that all genres of EDM will find more listeners and interest. Starting from the music played in these type of events, more people will travel through different sounds and experiences in electronic dance music, whether they eventually find detroit techno, deep house, chicago house, minimal techno, good prog, old school electro, or anything electronic that is worthy of their longterm following. I might not go to these type of events, but I support them for what they do for the culture and music in the long run.

commercial and underground electronic music (house/techno/trance/other) will surpass today's hip hop/pop/rock/country in worldwide interest...if it has'nt already.
