Vocals sounds really weird, add some reverb to it. Put in some more variety in your percussion, kick->hhat->snare->kick gets boring after a while

To my ears the vocals don't sound like they belong in the track at all.

The mix itself is decent, although I agree that the percussion and drums could use some variation.

I like the unusual chord changes you've used too. They're kind of Euro pop without being cheesy and crap.

A bit of tweaking and this would be pretty good, although I'd be tempted to lose the vocals or change them considerably if you recorded them yourself (I'm not aware of the original track if you've used an acapella).

I agree a bit with the vocal. I wasn't sure about it when I started inserting it ito the arrangament. But that was one of those days where you sit in the studio and you are having a great time, you start to bounce around and everything sounds just perfect ))) This vocal fited perfectly too at that moment. Its quite catchy if you listen to it a few times, but I agree that it needs a bit of tweaking or I might just get it out of the song completely.

The main melody is ok I think, I will check the beats again, but they may be just fine once the song gets shorter without the vocals.

Anyways, cant wait to spend time on it again to make it just perfect ))

But to be honest, can anyone tell me if this song has at least some potential? How about the melody? Anything that is cool about it? Dont know if I should scrap it and move on to a new one. Thanks guys

As I said I like the unusual chord choices you've made, although I'm not sure they can stand up by themselves without a vocal part.

Perhaps the track lives or dies on the availability of a suitable acapella.

Perhaps that's where some extra experimentation could be made

In answer to your question, most tracks have potential, it just depends on how you finish them (I know, captain obvious statement of the day).

As said, the vocal sounds out of place and more like something a DJ would do with two tracks as it doesn't gel with the track. It doesn't occupy the same sonic space as the other elements and I think should be a little more dubby as in more verb and I think some delay would work wonders.

As the track currently stands, it's very linear and doesn't really take me anywhere. It doesn't really give a feeling of depth and could do with some more points to drive it along.

Don't get me wrong, I have heard a lot worse released but that doesn't mean I would play this.

I don't necessarily like the chord progression, to me I find the last change in the phrase is one of those that just sucks out energy and feels a bit forced, just sounds a bit odd to me.

The vocal I think actually has the wrong rythm for the track and could possibly benefit from being stretched a little but that would probably degrade it to a point where it sounds weird. I think in a track like this you need the words to be sung a little longer, half the bpm of the track if you get my meaning.

In terms of technical skills though you have a lot going for you and appart from the percussion lacking a little drive, it still works well for you. I look forward to hear more from you.

I like this track and the quirky voclas - its different.

It now needs putting through the 'awesomisation machine'
What I mean is the drums - take them all out and redo - they sould like a casio organ preset - no grove, no depth no impact no raw dance power.

The get the whole track bouncing more with some sidechain etc.

Finish it I'd say.
