Finishing up a track (looking for constructive input on the mix)

Hello fellow producers.

Been spending about a month crafting this tune. Originally my goal was to see if I could incorporate some sort of jazz/classical melodic elements into a melodic/progressive trance structure. It's been a while since I've posted, but I've just been stalking around the forums =)

Anyways, having listened to this just about a hundred times now, I fear my ears are unable to judge critically what the right mix for it is. The reason I wanted to ask this forum instead of music promotion is because I am really looking more for technical advice and to get it from people with different setups, speakers and monitors.

So, if anyone would like to lend me an ear, I would really appreciate it.

J.L. - Space Nocturne (remastered) by J.L.

PS. I know it's soundcloud and quality will not be the same (I think they put a -3db limiter on any audio and audio is in 128 kbps). I did it because it's easy to upload and share and because I don't have webspace. If you are curious enough, you can click on some of the earlier versions(the first one being in July 6, 2010)

PPS. If anyone would like to try their hand at remixing, I could send you MIDIs of some of the melodies (it will have to be after Aug. 26th though since I'll be out of town)

PPPS. I am perhaps looking to send this out as a demo

Everything sounds great, im not too happy about the kick tho. Too generic IMO

maybe lower the res on the mid bass, sounds too psy trancy, percussion does get kind of chaotic. Once the bass key changes it sounds really good.

I dont think sound cloud has a -3db limiter, and the 128 kbps is only for soundcloud widgets.
