An observation about all the longtime posters on here
When will you guys realize that people don't really care about your "track X sucks, this is better" type comments?
The same people parade into every thread and whine about ANY track that the OP posted and then post something that they think is better, based on their subjective opinion.
And you guys have been doing this for years too. It's like you have nothing better to do than to whine in every thread you post in. And then when people snap back you feel the need to turn everything into a flame war.
I like this site, but I feel like this music discussion forum could be so much better if some of you put your egos aside and just talked about fucking music instead of trying to one-up each other on who listens to the "purest" and "best" EDM (again, all based on personal opinions that you cannot support with facts).

You do realise your constant whining about this issue (in the wrong forum too, I might add) is far, far more annoying that the issue you've fabricated in your head might be.

I was going to post a billion threads just like this one to prove a point, but then stumbled upon this:

I agree, too many unicorn jokes, prejudged tracks and total bias against certain artists.
Ah yes, the classic hissyfit over having your tastes in music insulted. Give it another 5 years, and you'll be posting detailed anecdotes about your "crackhead adventures", listening to plodding house music and look down your nose at people who like trance, just like everyone else. Then this thread will be an amusing point of reference.

But some people do care: those who can put aside their feeling of "being offended" and actually consider what the other person has to say, and listen to the music they suggest. That some people habitually throw around insults and build up superiority complexes about music might make them jerks, but even jerks can like music that is worth a listen.

But that is what helps make this site so good. People post music they think is better, which leads to others posting similar music which helps peoples tastes grow. The original poster is exposed to new sounds, and if they like what they hear they to look for 'better' music.
I'll give a personal example. A few months ago there was a thread for disco or something. Someone meantioned the funk thread, I had a look there and found a Larry Heard set, which lead me to Herbie Hancock song which lead me to an old Jazz thread which lead to Miles Davis/Coltrane.
I've only been on this forum for 3 years yet I cant remember when someone disrepected my opinion on music.

But the whole concept of "growing your tastes" is based completely on opinion.
I see many of the longtime posters in this thread throwing around red herrings and beating the bush to avoid responding to this statement: no one cares that you think track X sucks and track Y is better.
