...was much more enjoyable today with Max Walker 'Up & Up' as the soundtrack.

At one point I steped back and realized I had mowed the outline of a pair of lips with a tongue sticking out. Couldn't figure out why

I listened to that set once showering, same thing I did with Danny Salvaje's set the other day. I think few, maybe many of us do errands listening to these sets. But if it's one for the gym, that's a bonus for me.

It's so hard for me to find just the right mixes that get me pumped up for the gym. Pretty much everything I listen to then is from 2006 or earlier, and has been played so many times the MP3 has cue burn.

Steve Lawler - Live @ SW4 London (2006-8-28)
try that one, it's in the download thread that just got bumped.
Also some fluffier house like Kaskade at WMC 2010 works well, as does Etienne Ozbourne's Beach Club Ibiza mix, Sasha's 2005 Montreal F1 set and Max Graham and Danny Howell's EMs work great for the gym.

Thanks dude, I'll check the Lawler link. The only stuff that works for me in the gym is pumping prog and tribal... real primal and visceral. Mark Knight & Martin ten Velden's Essential mix from a few years back works really well, and I've got a couple Tommyboy and Muzzaik mixes from Justmusic that really do the trick too. Lawler's last EM isn't bad, but the one he did in 2003 (?) is right on for what I'm looking for. My particularity for what works makes it really hard to find new stuff.

the Lawler one I suggested is epic, imo.
I forgot Victor Calderone - Live @ esc99 - 19-08-2005, tribal that works well for the gym.
Just don't play it loud enough for others to hear while working out or the Brians will follow you to the showers....
