I quit smoking...again.

And I won't pick it back up this time.

It's been 5 days so far, and even easier than last time, woo! I guess it helps that I've quit before, and when I started again was just an occasional smoker.

No cravings really. The real test, as always, will be when I drink...but I think I'll be fine.

Anybody else quit or thinking about quitting? Let this thread continue as a roll call/support thread.

Excellent. I've smoked for 12 years. The thought of respiratory health problems when I'm older scares the shit out of me. I don't want to live like that. And even then, the particles/residue from smoking still remains in the deep tissue of the lungs, which still leaves risk for lung cancer.

I'd like to but I enjoy it way too much. Been at it consistently for over a year, half of that smoking 2 - 3 a day. Up to 5 - 6 now, and I'd like to limit myself to 5 a day.

Smoking is proven to be the hardest habit to quit.

i never got terrible. i usually hovered around 6-7 cigs a day. i dunno how people smoke two packs a day and shit. i could never even smoke back to back cigs because the second one either always tasted like shit or because it made my throat hurt too much. the only time i would ever go through a whole pack was when i was out of my mind wasted or REALLY stressed because of school.

you know what i never noticed though... they say when you quit smoking that all of a sudden you can breathe easier... i never noticed a difference. oh well.

i do however still smoke a bowl from time to time though.
