A while back there was some discussion regarding sifting through the large amounts of threads here in DJ Promo, in order to find quality mixes. With these threads (which will be made on a monthly basis, either by myself, or whoever beats me to it ) I hope to help cut down on that sifting. We'll see how it goes.
The concept is pretty simple. I want you guys, the users of this forum, to nominate a mix that you think was the best in the last month (ie. July), give a brief description (perhaps genre, or something along those lines) and post a link to the thread so that others can find it if it fits what they might be looking for.
PLEASE DON'T NOMINATE YOUR OWN MIX - That's not what I want these threads to become.
Also, if you have any ideas for this thread, feel free to discuss them here too
Now go forth and nominate!

Ok I'll start off then. Are we allowed to nominate more than one? I'm going to anyway. Really been feeling the techno this month. (actually I'm feeling techno all the time. )
I nominate Uncle Montana's Scranztastic mix, although I'm biased by taste this really was a kick ass mix that shows hard techno done properly. Big props to Tony for this. Thread's here
and I'll also nominate Coded Audio's Winter Solstice 2010 mix. Which is also techno, although a bit more on the tech-house side. A great live set where I really would've loved to have been there and got down with.
Can I also post Adam's mix from June? Since this is the first time this thread comes around and all
Adam Solomon - Dunkle Weisse
I have been playing this ever since early june and it hasn't bored me one bit. It has some amazing techno and deep house in there which will definitely work great with a very broad audience. Great vibe! http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=566224
Remco Horjus - Rhythm Meets Melody 11.0
This one's also superb. Remco has a great ear for good tracks and he definitely shows that in this mix. Clocking in @ over 2 hours this is just one of the mixes that you can't let go without a second listen (or a third/fourth )

Definitely gotta give the nominations to Mr. Mystery and Sand Leaper in the TA Genre Challenge. These mixes were not challenging for them to make, but they certainly reflect a top notch level of skill and knowledge of their craft.

Seconded! That one was excellent.
To be honest, I thought that kind of trance had become extinct ages ago. That whole set fucking rolled, bounced, blasted, and overloaded all of my senses for a spectacularly picture perfect 80 minutes. Did you listen to Nik's ambient set? That one was enormous as well.

Nah, I was afraid Ambient would just bore me to death, maybe I'll try playing it while reading or something like that.
No, no, worst idea ever. The music will distract you from reading. Listen to it while goofing off, surfing the web, or on your headphones while doing chores.

Levels is...decent...damn better than a lot of the shite dominating the charts at the moment. It sounds absolutely nothing like...a billion and one similar tracks in this big-room style. I always had a soft spot.
