Talking Hollen - Travel the Universe (192 kbps)

I made this track last year. My buddy really likes it and he has pursuaded me to upload it onto TA. Please excuse the cheesy title . This tune is very trancy with kind of a suprise in the breakdown or buildup, whatever you refer to it as. Anyway, I think this is kind of a cool track. I would really like to know what you all think. Do you think there is potential? I know the production itself may be a bit shoddy but I don't like things sounding too crisp and pure without character and warmth. Or couls this be a cop-out for inexperience producing?!?! You decide.
Anyway, the most important thing right now is to have you listen and enjoy it.
So here goes nothing.....

Hollen - Travel the Universe

To be honest this dosn't really do to much for me... maybe it's my mood right now, or ???

But, it all sounds pretty cool, very mellowish (or maybe just becuase of the track I heard before), I don't really want to make comments if they are only going to be negative or unhelpful, so maybe I will listen again in a few days, ok?

A remix of this could really throw up some intresting possibilities..... in my minds eye I see either a psy version or a prog/breaks remix.

All in all, don't take anything I've said badly, it's good stuff, I can't complain, actually the 3rd time round she's growing on me more and more.... defiantly a mood thing.

Must listen again when in a different mood.

Good stuff

not very fond of the purcussions, but the feel of it makes up for that. Very chilled out and layed back. I'd love to do a remix of this one, the melody has much potential for a hands up epic trance of doom

cheers, I like it

Hollen

Nice track there but could do with a better mixdown. The bass seems a bit overpowering to me. Seems to drown out the mix a bit.

Good Track overall 8/10...

Hey guys. Thanks for all your replies. Yeah producing is not my strongest point but I still like to share some stuff with you all. Anybody can do a remix of this. You actually dont even have to ask. Just go ahead. But just let me know if you are. Thanks again.

EDIT: agenz, i checked out the bass. it seems okay on my speakers. they might need a mix down but theyre certainly not drowning out the song for me. what kind are you playing this on?

Hey, reviewing as listening:

I'm liking the intro here, good little hints before the track builds up perfectly. All the sounds work just fine to me for a great intro.

The breakdown is very nice indeed, all gels together beautifully though I fail to see the suprise.

Was just going to say the track needed another lead to give it a lift and exactly at the right moment it came in. They compliment each other very well, nice work on them both.

Bass sounds absolutely fine to me by the way so don't think you need to worry there at all. Overall I can't complain about any structure problems, sounding great to me. May throw down a prog/breaks remix as suggested in a previous post some time once I've improved a little

Good work again, keep it up mate.

Hehe well it still suprised me. A very welcome suprise though, comes in at the perfect moment.

I'll PM you about it nearer the time of me starting it.

just listened to ya track, good stuff m8! type of stuff i like, would make a nice breaks tune

That delayed effect throughout the track is really nice. Good melody

I like the build up, but i think theres a pause for too long? not really sure.

I think the kick could be made better by EQing. 3mins 55secs is really nice

The track gets a lot better as it moves on as well. Nice work m8

please critique my track at:
