Hey wassup hope everyone is having a good New Years. This thread will be devoted to good trance/techno music, nothing but the classics and epics.  Tired of all the noobs like Tiesto taking credit for remaking all the old classics? Me too that's why I'm gonna be letting you in on all the songs before Tiesto sped em' up and called them his. I'll try to update this thread frequently and for any trance fanatic or if you like techno, enjoy.

Tilt - I dream
Nearly every track Tilt produced in the late 90s became a huge success within the progressive house and trance scene. DJs like Sasha, John Digweed, and Paul Oakenfold championed Tilt's productions, as did countless other DJs. Trend-setting tracks like "Rendezvous" and "Seduction of Orpheus" helped move progressive house into darker, more ominous directions. Emphasizing hypnotic, tribal percussion and towering, thunderous bass lines, Tilt's style of progressive house had much more in common with mid-90s trance than house music. With the exception of perhaps Breeder, no production team was more influential in the late-90s progressive house/trance scene.
The first Tilt release, "I Dream", became one of the most popular dance records of 1996, having been released on Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto label. Tilt then began releasing tracks on another of the U.K.'s largest and most influential dance labels, Hooj Choons. By 2001, however, John Graham parted ways with fellow group members Mick Parks and Mick Wilson to establish himself as Quivver. Nonetheless, Parks and Wilson marched on as Tilt, releasing "Headstrong" and performing live.
(The link above is to a youtube video of the original mix of their song titled "I Dream", but personally I like the Tilted Dub version and think it is one of the best remixes of this song. It has more of an atmospheric feel to it and to me just plays smoother, but both are good.)
On a side note, I'm sure you've all heard the song Rendezvous and alot of people think this is DJ Tiesto's song because it is featured on one of his "Global Clubbing" CDs, when really this song was made by Tilt and remixed with Paul Van Dyk: can be heard here.

Jam & Spoon - Stella
Acclaimed among the pioneers of trance, the Frankfurt, Germany-based duo of producer Jam El Mar and Mark Spoon (aka Markus Loeffel) made an enormous impact in 1992 with their groundbreaking remix of the self-titled single by Age of Love. After the first Jam and Spoon EP, Tales from a Danceographic Ocean -- which contained their influential hit "Stella" -- the duo unleashed a barrage of remixed material for Moby ("Go"), Frankie Goes to Hollywood ("Relax"), Deep Forest and others, all recieved massive club play; the single "Right in the Night (Fall in Love with Music)" followed in 1993, the first of several of the duo's recordings to feature the American-born vocalist Plavka. That same year, Jam and Spoon issued their full-length debut LP, the two-volume Tripomatic Fairytales 2001 and 2002, which saw a move away from the pile-driving beats of earlier efforts towards a more commercial sound. In 1996, the duo returned with Disco 2001, an album recorded under the alias Tokyo Ghetto Pussy. Though the next Jam and Spoon LP (1997's Kaleidoscope) didn't cause much of a splash, a remix of "Stella" became a worldwide club hit in 1999.

Three Drives on A Vinyl - Greece 2000
Three Drives, also known as Three Drives on A Vinyl, is a progressive trance duo from the Netherlands. The duo is made up of Erik De Koning (a.k.a. Enrico) and Ton van Empel (a.k.a. Ton T.B.). Their best-known tracks are "Greece 2000" (originally released in 1997 by Massive Drive Recordings, with more mainstream releases on ZYX Music and Hooj Choons) and "Sunset on Ibiza".
Badly labelled tracklistings on certain compilation albums have resulted in some confusion over whether the true name of this artist is 'Three Drives' / 'Three Drives on a Vinyl' or 'Greece 2000'.
In fact the correct name was originally almost certainly '3 Drives on A Vinyl' in reference to the ability of the two band members to run three turntables at once, each turntable playing top quality vinyl records. Confusion in the band's use of the adjectival "A" (incorrectly taken to be the indefinite article "a") has caused the name to sound meaningless when represented as '3 Drives on a Vinyl'. Therefore, early production company track listing staff were naturally inclined to resort to the understandable 'Greece 2000' when listing the artist's name and to assume that it was simply the track name that was odd (and despite the clear reference of 'Greece 2000' to a notion of place and time that influenced the recording). The use of the number "3" rather than the full word is less certain but its visual echo of the special use of the letter "A" later in the name is convincingly attractive. Ongoing confusion may have led the band to a pragmatic decision to now market themselves as "Three Drives". :arrow: (Not Verified)
"Greece 2000" is more of a soft trance hit, but another classic by Three Drives is Sunset on Ibiza. This is a link to the "Above and Beyond" remix that I like, but if you look up the original mix you'll notice the similarities to DJ Tiesto's "Sunset on Ibiza"; exact same song just sped up :P . Also, a classic song by Ton T.B. is Silent Witness, which to me is one of his best mixes. Listen to it all the way through and you'll be blown away by the different transitions throughout the song 8-) .

I decided that to do a section on "Ayla", one song wouldn't be enough to describe how he's impacted trance or how every song by him is influential. Ingo Kunzi is a German trance producer and DJ best known for his work under Ayla. The name was inspired by the name of a girl in the studio during his first recording. His track Ayla, which is his best known track, was remixed by DJ Taucher and was a big hit in the clubs and played by the top DJs. In 1995, Kunzi created the project Ayla along with the single of the same name. Ayla went onto be remixed by DJ Taucher as the single's most known remix. It entered the UK-Charts at #22. After Ayla's success, Kunzi produced Ayla II in 1998, which entered the German sales chart top 40. In the same year, Kunzi remade Cosmic Baby's Liebe and entered #1 of the German Dance Charts. Ayla's fifth single, Angelfalls was released in 1999, which went on to be on the top 3 of the German Dance Charts for weeks. In late 1999, Ayla released his first album, Nirwana, which went gold in Norway and Singapore. Kunzi went on to produce two more Ayla tracks (Singularity / Brainchild II, Sun Is Coming Out), before taking a break on the project in 2003.
After putting his Ayla project on hiatus for many years, Kunzi plans on releasing a second Ayla album in 2010. 
Ayla - Ayla (Taucher remix)
This is by far one of the best remixes to the song Ayla, it has a soothing/atmospheric feel to it, and puts you in a trancelike state.

"Ayla"'s predecessor Ayla Part II is thought by some to be better than the original. I like this track to me it feels like an updated Ayla and I like the high notes. Another artist with many great songs/remixes is french house's "Lifelike", previously known as Ferris Bueller. Whether an original or remix, his sound is unique in that every song flows together smoothly. I don't know if a lot of you actually know he exists, so here's a number of great songs worth a listen:

Also, one of the all time best trance albums I bought is Cream's Future Trance 2003. Didn't really listen to disc 2 when I owned this, but disc 1 is really, really good. It's a disc that you can put on and listen to all the way through without skipping a song. Looking into the songs on this disc is worth it. That's all I have for now, enjoy and let me hear feedback.
