The fact that he smoked pages from both the Bible and the Quran was really ingenious. As for the "disunity and disharmony", I really couldn't disagree more... Voltaire used to claim that humour could set us free and, once we laughed about something, we'd start seeing it under a new light. I reckon this is what we all need: to stop taking things so seriously and accept that faith is not a matter of life and death. |
I understand the outrage and upset over this; however, these people are suppose to be against idoltary also.

Yet you have millions of people going to mecca, rome and jerusalem yearly.

I get that you're trying to be funny, but this really doesn't make any sense.
And, as usual, neither does this. |
The bible is an idol, the khoran is an idol, people are worshiping it as if it is god - the book is not god, it never has been god.
A black stone is not god? Why are people bowing to a cube? Isn't that idoltary?
What about the cross, isn't that idoltary.
The list goes on and on and on.
These people don't even adhere to their own religion then they get all upset when someone else doesn't.
It is understandable because they've corrupted their own religion but the point is a valid one, and easily understood bas.
It appeared as though in the florida burning it was hate crime related though so it is clear why the act shouldn't have been supported.
This one just seemed to be irreligious, and potentially ignorant of the offensiveness of the act. or perhaps a publicity stunt.
I bet you 5 to 1 there have been a bunch of khoran burnings that have gone unreported.
I have both a khoran and a bible in my house I have no plans on burning them. But if I needed the heat, I would, if god didn't provide it. I would not however do it to offend someone. And if they took offence to me attempting not to freeze then it is them in my opinion who is out of touch.
