pff i've notice in a club a strange problem i guess is similar to what you complain, i believe it's because has a tall ceiling, the kick sounds like it had loads of reverb and you beatmatch on your headphones the track but when you throw it live sounds a little trainwrecking :S it's a bit annoying because only happens with the kicks that have a lot of low end, mainly in house tracks, with trance tracks happens less often.

And yes, i think everybody had had a request like that above, i've been requested the "happy birthday" song a few times, and don't try to explain that this track don't fits in the middle of a particularly energetic house set.

At least you have arms to DJ with!!! I have to use my nose...

I hate when people roll up in the club and head straight to the dj booth and say "yo play this song and this song and this song". who do they think they are!

A fellow dj once told me some chick went up to him while he was playing, and asked for something really obscure like Britney or something. And he pretended he couldn't hear her, and said "Whaaat?". So she asked again, now slightly louder, and he replies "Whaaat?", slightly louder. And this goes back and forth a couple of times more, until she's practically yelling "CAN YOU PUT ON SOME BRITNEY SPEARS?!?!?" just as he cuts all the sound. Cue laughter.
