So, I'm seriously considering to move over to Canada from Australia pretty soon, seeing as it is listed amongst the other top 20 countries also rated for lifestyle satisfaction but I'm guessing that could also be an overrated claim.
What are the upsides and downsides? Why should I move? What's the balance between work life and holiday leave? What's the tax system like? Is there an ongoing EDM scene (with the exception of Armin fan boys)? Etc.

It's a pretty varied place, which means the answers to your questions are pretty varied. A lot will depend on where you're thinking of moving too, what you're into, what kind of lifestyle you want, etc.
Taxes are progressive and fairly substantial ranging from 0 to approx 50% of your taxable income depending on what that is ([[ LINK REMOVED ]]
). Health care is good and largely free, infrastructure is comparable to the rest of the first world, people are people and treat each other as such, work-life balance varies by job and location but typically it's a 5 day week with 10 statutory holidays and 2 weeks vacation entitlement to start.

well where do you plan on going? Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver? (nowhere else in is an option)
Toronto has one of the best EDM and underground scenes in North America with many great local djs and producers, Montreal has a smaller scene but more outdoor festivals and arena massives and Vancouver has random djs from 10 years ago play once a year.
The rest of your questions are stupid. try google. canadian holidays. canadian tax rates. boom theirs ur info.

here we have lots of ice, wood, and lakes. if you're into living in the forest livestyle and hunting then this is a great place for you.
Our ski resorts employ nothing but Australians, so try working here one summer for a couple of months. It's a whole summer with flight, room and board for you and you get to taste our ski bunnies.

Dude Montreal has just about all the EDM you could ask for. I wouldn't say that our scene is any smaller than Toronto's. In fact, it's probably a hell of a lot more varied than yours. We probably get names here that you guys have never even heard of.
