What sorta lead would you add here?

Any thoughts on a lead for this folks - I had a melodic one but since adding the current bass (which sounds like a lead) I don't know quite where to take this.

I'll say what I always say in these cases: Do whatever pleases you.

It's sounding really tight right now and I'll definitely be keeping track of its progress.

The bassline atm is actually a bit too wild for my tastes, but I really enjoyed everything else you had to offer.

Good job, Rich!

Honestly I don't think you need a lead. If I were you I'd add a bass that has a bit more sub presence just because if you didn't tell me that synth was a bass I would have assumed you already had a lead.

I don't know much about this kind of music but if I personally had to do anything with this I'd add a glitchy bell-type synth with a really long release and play a simple 3 or 4 note melodic phrase every few bars.

I was thinking about asking you to make it downloadable so I could upload it into Sonar and noodle out some lead ideas, but, with what you've got, I think anything I could add would be crowding it. You might stick a couple of sub-bass notes underneath certain low notes on the bass/lead, but this sounds like it's coming along nicely.

Yep that sounds an interesting idea.

Hoping my percs are as tight as yours!

Cheers

I'm trying to make a distinctive follow up to gotalight - hopefuly with wide appeal but I'm very indecisive.

Honestly what would you do with it now if you wanted to be a sucker and go for mass appeal? Probably a lame question eh

I hear some plucks with alot of reverb kinda working off that bassline pattern. Something subtle that would add a bit of melodic movement.
