Recommendations: Clean surgical EQ's

Not one that colours the mix but is good at cutting frequencies, i.e low & high cuts and really does a good job of removing the unwanted parts.

I highly recommend watching some of the videos on the website and downloading the Pro-Q demo - this EQ has some very good tricks up its sleeve - the mid/side mode and independent L/R bands are very useful and it has some other very usable functions as well, such as holding down CTRL while moving the mouse up/down to adjust the Q/bandwidth for a selected channel (or multiple channels simultaneously).

In other words, it isn't just another pretty looking EQ.

Good thinking. It's amazing how many people will buy dozens of soft synths, then skimp on what is arguably the most important and most utilized tool in a producers' toolbox (i.e., EQ). Whether you go with the FF, Oxford, Sonnox, or any other EQ, just remember that, if you're anything like most producers, you will be using it far more than any other plugin so choose and spend wisely.
