your most valuable records

i'm not talking about sentimental value, i'm talking about the records in your collection that fetch the most cash.

I've been working steadily on migrating my discogs collection to a new username (since they don't allow you to change usernames), and I decided to value some of my records in the process. this is my list so far (cutting off at records above 40 dollars in value for the sake of brevity) With value here I have ranked them by their minimum recent sale value on discogs or ebay for the condition equivalent to the item in my collection.

$110.99 - David Axelrod - Songs Of Experience (Capitol Records, SKAO-338)
$79.81 - Pete Namlook - The Definitive Ambient Collection (Rising High Records, RSN LP 11)
$76.61 - Mtume - Kiss This World Goodbye (Epic, JE 35255)
$75.68 - Biosphere - Patashnik (Apollo, AMB 3927 LP)
$75.07 - The Sun God / Daryl Cura - The CS Strategy (Eargasmic Recordings, EGC-4002)
$69.99 - Various - Ambient Intermix (Instinct Ambient, amb 21002)
$68.25 - David Axelrod - Earth Rot (Capitol Records, SKAO-456)
$68.25 - Various - Objets D'art (New Electronica, elec 09lp)
$63.91 - David Axelrod - Song Of Innocence (Capitol Records, ST 2982)
$61.43 - Zwischenfall - Gestern Und Heute (Subtronic Records, SUB 033)
$55.59 - Autechre - Amber (Warp Records, WARPLP25)
$54.47 - Move D - Kunststoff (Source Records, 940917 2xLP)
$51.87 - Dubtribe - Sound System (Organico, ORG 007-2)
$49.00 - Derrick Carter's Sound Patrol Orchestra - Tripping Among The Stars (Volume 1) (Organico, ORG 022-1)
$47.76 - Deep Space Network Meets Higher Intelligence Agency, The – Deep Space Network Meets Higher Intelligence Agency (Source Records, 960424 2xLP)
$45.83 - Dominik Von Senger - The First (veraBra Records, No. 7)
$45.50 - Various - Underground Anthems EP Vol. 1 (Sistrum Recordings, SIS 003)
$45.05 - Din A Testbild - Programm 1 (Innovative Communication, KS 80.002)
$40.95 - After Life - Cauchemar (Wah-Wah Records Sound, LPS023)
$40.53 - FUSE - Dimension Intrusion (Plus 8 Records, PLUS8024)
$40.00 - Choice / Soofle - Acid Eiffel / How Do You Plead? (Fragile Records, FRG-6)
$39.99 - Brian Eno - Another Green World (Island Records, ILPS 9351)

Keithos27 is the man to check out, he has so many of those Oakenfold promos and hits along with lots of other trance classics.

I'll have to dig around and look through my collection.

Could someone tell me how come certain records (like some Avana posted) + the Soul Capsule one are of such high value? Have they been into certain compilations or are just generally accepted as good music?

I only have a couple of unreleased trance tracks that each trance-crackster would love to have (tracks that never got label-approved or the remixer never got approval for)

well i dont know any of the tracks avana has, but generally i think the value comes from being accepted as high quality music, being an original pressing [ofcourse], limited pressings, and just generally being a classic

the vinyl i posted, its value at the minute on discogs is £69.95 [$111.55] it has been valued at £100 before which would be closer to $200!!!

this is one of the tracks of there..

im pretty sure you'd think this track is absolute dogwank tho .. strange how it all works really
