Fog Machine question

Is it bad to be standing next to da fog machine all night while at a party or at a club? That shit smells funny....im wondering if it will damage my equipment also over a period of time...

I would recommend moving it away from where you're working. It sucks breathing that crap in hours on end, especially if you're sensitive to allergies. It could do damage to gear, especially if it's blowing right into it. Over time the residue could clog filters, fans, and it could get into the electronics. I would recommend routine maintenance and cleaning on the gear, since we don't how long the fogger has been sitting next to you. Try moving the fogger off to the side. If you're concerned about coverage, place a fan in front of nozzle. This will disperse the fog better.

it's harmless, the only thing you want to be aware of is the area right in front of the nozzle, when it blasts it will sometimes spit out a bit of un-vaporized fluid, so if it's up high you might get a bit of a fog-fluid shower while standing close

i've had gear for years in a fog machine area, they were fine, fog machine is the least of your worries

i've never had to repair something due to fog residue

That must be why I lose my voice every time I stand next to a fog machine a bit too long...

Then you must be one of the lucky ones, cause I've repaired plenty of gear due to fog damage. Let alone all the sticky shit it leaves behind.
